What's In A Name
The Muller is named after a couple of brothers who are dear friends of Joshua, the founder of HELM Boots. Michael and Kyle Muller are super-fun, artistic, hardworking dudes who make Joshua laugh as hard as anyone he’s ever met. When you get these three together, it gets plain rowdy, and the silliness is often out of control. Michael is a forming member of the awesome band BALMORHEA and is also a talented and well-known photographer. Kyle is a husband, father and a key player at LAND in Austin, Texas.

As I opened the lid and laid eyes on my boots I could tell they weren't no ordinary pair of boots. The color is perfect. The build is master craftsmanship. The design is beautiful. The sizing is about a half size big. I am used to shoes and boots being a full size difference. Quality worth the price. Break in: These are not out of the box ready. I have 4 other pair of boots with all but 1 I had to break in, so I was ready for this. As soon as you pick up your boot you just know this is a pair of boots your going to have to commit to breaking in. I have 120 hrs in the boots and they are not broken in yet. They are getting there but not yet. Around the 60 hr mark I started developing a bruise on my right foot where the seam for the tongue and lace eyes are. It is a thick seam and hits that thin spot right under the bone. Did I mention the leather is thick. After a break I started wearing them with a little extra padding from gauze in that area. As the leather breaks in I thin the padding as needed. Is it worth it? **** yeah. They are wonderful boots that scream quality. If you take the time and put in some work they will last forever. Every where else is breaking in great. I am already eyeing the olive ones. Thanks Helm for taking the time to do it right!!
