What's In A Name
The Muller is named after a couple of brothers who are dear friends of Joshua, the founder of HELM Boots. Michael and Kyle Muller are super-fun, artistic, hardworking dudes who make Joshua laugh as hard as anyone he’s ever met. When you get these three together, it gets plain rowdy, and the silliness is often out of control. Michael is a forming member of the awesome band BALMORHEA and is also a talented and well-known photographer. Kyle is a husband, father and a key player at LAND in Austin, Texas.

It took me a year to finally pull the tigger on a pair of these boots because I'd never spent so much for casual, every day footwear. I mean, the price point is similar to that of highly technical footwear like high end hiking boots, etc. However, I took the jump and got the Muller Brown. From the moment I opened the box it was obvious to me why the price tag is so high. Simply put, you're paying for a level of quality and hand-made craftsmanship that is all but dead in the manufacturing industry. These boots look, feel and even smell like someone's hand were on them throughout the entire manufacturing process. That sounds odd, but trust me, it's a good thing! And uncommon. These boots are top-notch. I've looked high and low and haven't been able to find a pair of boots of this caliber. Not my last pair of Helm boots, and so stoked I splurged.

These boots are absolutely beautiful. I’ve searched high and low for boots of this quality and nothing compares. They are classic and timeless in every sense. You can feel the hand made craftsmanship when you open the box and they only get better each time you put them on. Like all boots made of real genuine leather, they take some pain to break in, and truth be told I am still in the break-in phase, but I can tell you even this early on that this will not be my last pair of Helm boots.
