What's In A Name
The Whalen is named for our good friend, Matthew Whalen. Matthew, or "Matty" to some of us, is an accomplished filmaker and photographer, working on multiple national campaigns that you yourself have undoubtedly seen. As accomplished of an artist as Matty is, his true talent lies in his unwaivering and devoted friendship. Kind and humble, sincere and funny, and adventurous like no other, we immediately thought of Matty when we designed this boot.

This is my fourth pair of HELM boots, and in spite of that problem, I think these are my new favorite. Soft suede, a comfy sole - these are perfect boots for hanging around the house, hanging around the city with friends, or hanging around the campfire with the people you love. There really isn't much to add to these other than if you're thinking of grabbing these, go for it. You won't regret it!

Wear my first pair quite a bit to work so picked up a second pair. Super comfortable, super value for the price. The inside glove leather is very well done. Please make in a tan or green.
