Good quality but be wary of size
As a happy owner of Declans size 7D, I grabbed these Charlies on sale in the same size and was very happy with the quality out of the box. Size-wise, they felt snug, but not uncomfortable walking around the neighborhood. On my first serious excursion, though, they started to chafe after about four hours of walking. I’ve developed blisters on both outer toes and bruises on the top of my foot where the vamp creases at the hard stitching holding the upper to the tongue. After experimenting creatively with socks and lacing on day two of my vacation, I think they’re just too small. I’m now in bed at a hotel with sore feet, pining for my old sneakers at home! I really wanted to like these—I got a compliment while suffering through the blisters!—but I think they’ll only be for short jaunts. Just sharing my story as a warning—other reviewers seem to say they run large, but I’ve had the opposite experience, and the way these are stitched on top make them very unforgiving if you size too small. Be careful!

Blue Tenny's
I'm a sucker for unique colored leathers. Especially Blue and Green. The blue leather in these shoes is pretty subtle. Nearly a black, but not black. The contrast stitching adds a nice touch of flair. Size wise I typically buy 11's. I've found the Helm Hightops to be generous in their fit so I purchased a 10 1/2 as was rewarded with a perfect fit. Overall they are more boot like in feel and construction than most sneakers. And that's exactly what I was looking for.
