Saturday Six 190

We grew up listening to a long list of country legends, so when we saw this movie pop up on Netflix, we instantly knew what we were watching that night. Less of a story about their careers and more so a movie about their enduring friendship, it tells the story of Patsy Cline and Loretta Lynn‘s friendship in a way that makes you fall in love with these two women all over again.

With multiple locations in Austin, Good Company is a perfect spot to drop in and browse home goods and well-curated gifts (say for an upcoming holiday perhaps...) Clay planters, hand-carved bowls, woven throws, one-of-a-kind jewelry, and vintage furniture; it’s a challenge to stop by and leave empty-handed.

The cold weather has had us in the mood for warm curry, hearty stew, and rich flavors. With the option to combine all of these into one dish, we couldn't pass it up, not to mention it was incredibly easy to make. Want to impress (and warm up) dinner guests? It wasn't a huge surprise that we loved this new single from SYML, considering everything Brian Fennell has released over the past few years has been an instant addition to our playlists. Heading back to his hometown of Seattle for recording, Sweet Home is a nostalgic track written in the vividly warm and lilting style that we turn to SYML for, intertwined with moments of rising orchestra music. Go head, give it a listen.

Some of us are looking forward to the warmer weather while others are trying to get in every last moment out in the snow. Either way, good outerwear is a must. The Puffer Jacket from Rains is durable, insulated, and waterproof, making it perfect for a rainy weather dogwalk or more extreme conditions during a snowy hike. Whatever you're doing out there, it has you covered (no pun intended).

Based in Austria, Lana Yanovska's talents span multiple mediums. From photography to painting to videography to printmaking, we were especially drawn to her linocut work on Instagram. A new form of work that she picked up during the pandemic, she creates stunning pieces of art that you can snag for yourself as cards for friends, prints for your wall, or even bookmarks. Check out her work and give her a follow.
