How do I know my shoes fit me out of the box?
When first trying on your HELMs, you want them to feel comfortably snug. This is because the leather stretches out and relaxes during break-in, especially in the toe box. Generally speaking, you want 1/4 to 1/2 of an inch of space from the front of your toes to the front of the boot. If you have any more than that, you should consider sizing down. You also do not want any heel slippage in the back of the shoes. Do not hesitate to email us if you have any questions about fit after receiving your shoes in the mail!
What do you recommend to quickly clean HELM boots or shoes?
Our go-to shoe cleaner is Otter Wax Saddle Soap. Pair soap with a HELM shop rag, and you’re all set. After cleaning, you can condition your HELMs with the conditioner of your choice. We like to use Blackrock Leather ’n Rich which is neutral in color and can be used on any leather products you own. We also offer pigmented Pure Polish conditioner if you need a touch-up on your shoes.
How do I join the HELM CREW?
Making your first purchase with us, and setting up an account on our website gets you into the CREW. Where do I get Replacement HELM Laces?
You can purchase replacement laces directly on our website in the Supply area. Once on the laces page, you can purchase the laces by shoe style name and color. Make sure to select the right size category for your shoes, so you receive the right length laces! Sizes 6 - 10 laces are slightly shorter than sizes 10.5 - 16 laces.
How do I exchange for another size?
You can initiate your exchange on our website within 30 days from your purchase date. Make sure to try your shoes on at home before deciding to keep them, so that they are still eligible for exchange. Worn shoes can not be exchanged or returned.
